Membership shall be open to all students at Texas A&M University but it is preferred that they be kinesiology majors.  The length of a membership is one academic semester.  In order to be qualified as a member, the following must be attained:

  1. Participate in the major fundraiser each semester.

  2. Attend a minimum of 3 meetings each semester.

  3. Payment of dues-every semester.

  4. Attain 5 hour points per semester.

  5. Read our constitution.

Hour Points

Membership points will be used as a measurement of each member’s community service participation, social involvement, and professional certifications.  Membership points will be awarded according to the following criteria:

  1. Community Service (1 point per hour of service)

  2. Social Events (1 point per event)

  3. Attaining official certifications from professional organizations (1 point max)

  4. Attendance of TACSM conference


Professional Points Breakdown

  1. nAttend meetings and pay dues – ˝ point
  2. nParticipate in Fun Run (Fall) and Big Event (Spring) – ˝  point
  3. nCommunity Service – 10 hours – ˝ point
  4. nIntramural Participation – ˝ point
